- To release yourself from the terrible pit in your stomach that tells you that you're a failure because of an error in judgment, a failure, or a dreadful mistake that you've made.
- To sort out what you actually did wrong from the harsh judgments that other people make about you, so that you can replace the shame that you feel with self-acceptance, self-forgiveness, and a mature blend of humility and true self-esteem.
- To put your actual errors into proper perspective, to learn from them, to forgive yourself, and to learn to accept and love yourself as you are.
